THE MASONIC GAMES
TDV District Education Program
Tuesday, November 27, 2018 7:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.
Thornhill Masonic Temple – 30 Elgin Street, Thornhill
Each of us is called upon to make a daily advancement in Masonic knowledge. Yet pounding the books to that end often requires nothing short of indefatigable exertion. How can we square this with the chief point in Freemasonry, namely, to endeavor to be happy ourselves, and to communicate that happiness to others? Come and play in The Masonic Games and have fun, while learning a ton!
Interactively presented through competitive games, challenges and quizzes, in which you’ll participate both individually and in teams, the program will cover a wide range of subject matter, including history, language, the ancient usages and established customs, the Constitution, ritual and floor work. Prizes of great value (though perhaps of little monetary worth) will be awarded! The evening will begin in the banquet hall of the Temple. While dinner will not be provided, beverages and snacks will be available. Following a health break mid-way through the program, we will gather in the Lodge Room for the balance of the evening.
Please let me know by Friday, November 23, 2018 if you plan to attend this informative evening, both so that we may prepare a name tag for you and to allow us to plan for the refreshments to be provided.
